在 recent coastal restoration efforts, our province has achieved significant progress in enhancing marine ecological protection. By implementing comprehensive management strategies and targeted修复措施, we have successfully restored over 10.63 kilometers of coastline, marking a major milestone toward achieving our "十四五" natural shoreline preservation goals.

To strengthen coastal zone management, a three-tiered responsibility system has been established, with provincial coordination, municipal supervision, and county-level execution. This framework ensures effective implementation of policies aimed at safeguarding natural shorelines. Key measures include:

  • Implementing a balance between land use and ecological preservation.
  • Establishing dynamic adjustment mechanisms for shoreline protection.
  • Simplifying approval procedures for shoreline-related projects.
  • Enhancing oversight to prevent unauthorized shoreline modifications.

Based on recent coastline mapping data, we have identified specific areas requiring restoration and developed tailored solutions for each site. Through a combination of habitat restoration projects such as wetland rehabilitation and vegetation planting, along with the removal of invasive species like Spartina alterniflora, significant progress has been made in repairing damaged shorelines.

To ensure sustainable management, we have established an integrated monitoring network incorporating aerial, terrestrial, and marine observation technologies. This system provides quarterly updates on shoreline conditions, enabling timely detection and resolution of any unauthorized activities that could harm coastal ecosystems.

These efforts have not only improved the ecological health of our coastlines but also created new opportunities for public engagement with nature. The restoration of tidal flat habitats has supported increased biodiversity while providing市民 with new recreational spaces to enjoy marine landscapes and wildlife viewing.
